Receiving video's on my v3i.

Hello everyone. I have a new V3i and I love it. Its beautiful and has just about everything you could want. I have been able to set up just about everything to work on the phone. MMS, internet and such.

However I can't seem to get receiving videos to work. I'm with cingular. When someone sends me a video I get a message that says "One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your terminal." The person sending me the video was sending it from a V3 also with cingular. I was able to receive videos on my cingular locked V551 so I know its not my service.

Could this be that there is not enough memory on the phone? I have plenty of room on my card but I can't seem to figure out how to get incoming messages to save to my card. They automatically save to the phone and have to be deleted when I have about 100 messages (incoming and outgoing combined.) The free space I have available on the phone is 12928 kb.

If this has already been posted and answered then please forgive and let me know where the posts are as I searched and didn't find them.

Dafodyll

P.S I can send to my friend but can't receive.

i'm not sure what you mean...i got mine to work just fine...you have to go into message setup and delete one of the preloaded mms profiles and then go to the cingular support site to have them send you the settings for a v3...once you receive the sms, you just hit install and your good to go...although i haven't tried videos yet...just pictures...
