Replaced MPX220 housing with black OEM, and now camera bad?

Hello peeps,
I ordered my black (reddish brown) OEM faceplate off Ebay, and replaced it yesterday. It definietly took me some time, as well as almost ruining my old silver housing!
My camera worked great in my old housing, however, my resolution doesn't seem quite right in the new one. The image looks very grainy, and I can't figure out why.
Has anyone else had this problem? Did I leave a special lense out or something?
