2125 compatability with Accessories

Just got done wasting 30 minutes searching and finding nothing. If only the admin would enable search WITHIN a single thread under thread tools I could search the mega thread....

I am upgrading from a nokia 2260 and have a 2125 on the way, and am ready to buy some accessories, but I do not want to pay retail 2125 prices. are the accessories standardized? What mainstream phone models use accessories compatible with the 2125?

I need:
wired headset (freeheadsets.org)
car charger
battery
usb charger (if the data cable is not hot synch)

The headset is a regular 2.5mm, so you can use anything with that type of connector. You also have the option of a Bluetooth headset. The car charger is somewhat standardized, it's a mini-USB connector. So, anything with that type of connector will work fine. I believe the SMT5600, MPx220 and even the RAZR use that. The battery will be special to this phone. It's not like Nextel where they always use the same battery. Lastly, same goes for the data cable as does the car charger. As long as it's mini-USB then it'll work on the 2125.

Yep, all my Razor accessories work with it just fine.

On another note, my edge speeds on this thing is only 10k. Phone says Edge but getting dialup speeds. I was hoping/praying for better.

thanks, just ordered some chargers off ebay, and already have a USB-A to USB-mini cable that I can keep with my lappy.

well, NOT ALL MPx220 chargers work. I orderd some off ebay, and they do not work for my 2125. The adapter won't even fit.

Will ALL Razr chargers work? Will ALL 5600 chargers work?

Siezmik- AFAICT, there is no antenna port on the back of the 2125

Few corrections here:

1. It is compatible with the SMT5600 and MPX 200 chargers. Not the MPX-220 which has a completely different cable (same as standard motorolas). It works OK with my Razr charger that is all I have left from my former RAZR phone (lost/stolen).

2. There is a car antenna jack on the back to the right of the "self-portrait" mirror. I don't know what standard it is, but it looks the same as all others I have seen. Take a look at the manual at HTC (http://www.htcamerica.net/docs/Cing...er%20Manual.pdf) for more information.
