I just bought a new motorola razr v3 from cingular, I have bluetooth on my dell inspiron 6000 and bluetooth on the phone but for some reason I can not send files between the two. The computer says it recognizes the phone, but an error message always comes up when I try to send a file. If anyone knows how I can send files using bluetooth, to my phone that would be really great.

Which BT tool are you using? If you are using the Dell built in BT adapter, you have to create a modem connection with the Dell BT Manager. If you are using MPT, you'll need Version 4.0 - it supposes the Toshiba BT stack used by Dell.

Hope this helps....JL

If you have MPT and using the Dell built in BT adapter, you need to upgrade the MPT to version 4.0. This is the only version that supports the Toshiba BT stack used by Dell. Open MPT, go to the Menu/Setup/Live Update to get the latest version. Use the MPT "HELP" to get instructions on how to use the tool.

Good luck....JL

I am so frustrated I feel like I have tried everything, the phone will just not connect with my laptop. My old cell which was a v551 did no problem, I just don't understand.
