This is an absolutely must have. ericsson went over the top on this one!! The menues look so simple and those graphics...wow... My only concern is, are they gonna tell us in a couple of months that this version has bugs and we now need to upgrade the software?

Posted by: luiscamino

i dont think so.

i really think that the big delay on the p800 release hasn't been due to hardware or firmware problems, but to hardware and especially firmare *improvements*.

i mean, they could have released it in november but we all could have found firmware problems and bugs, fixed in new firmware upates until, say january 2003, that we had a 99'9% well functioning firmware. but sure many people who would have bought it didn't know about "firwares", "firmware versions" and "firmware updtates" and would have stayed with their buggy p800 thinking it's a slow or unstable phone.

instead, they have delayed the release until they had an almost perfect firmware, that we will all be impressed by.

Sorry to disagree Luis but I think anyone that is willing to pay more than 800EUR for a mobile phone probably does know very well what a firmware upgrade is.

Its supposed to be easily upgradeable thanks to the Os, and with the backup feature you shouldnt have to worry about losing anything.

What's the back up feature?

Posted by: SveNGaLi

it backs up all your settings i think. Also your phonebook and all the other good stuff
