6682 Xbm

Cingular XBM says they don't have any Nokia 6682's in stock. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

mmm, its been out for a few weeks, since the 1st week of january.

check the cing website, its available brand new for purchase.

I'm concerned with the XBM.

I did an online XBM exchange last week.. Got a Brand new 6682 with new Firmware

...I did the online exchange on Sunday, and received my new Nokia 6682 -with new firmware- on Tuesday! And it was a full kit, brand new in the box. It's so nice to NOT have to speak with those exchange people!

Ps: you get the initial email to say your order was accepted, but after that you get no updates. I checked the status online, on Monday and nothing had changed. I was saying to myself, I'd wait till Tuesday afternoon and if no change, I'd call Cingular. But, by 14:00, I received a box at work!

I tried to do the online exchange, but since i have the enhanced warranty + insurance, i had to go thru lockline. However, i just got a brand new 6682 w the updated firmware, so i'm happy. Ordered monday, came in today!

They definitely have them.

When did you contact the XBM department and get the replacement?

I called on Monday and I was told they didn't have the full kits in stock.

Were they feeding me a bunch of crap?

...customer service with ANY company over the phone hardly ever ends well. At all cost NEVER call the exchange center. I bet if you went online and did the exchange there, within 48 hours you'd have a BRAND NEW Nokia 6682 delivered to your house or work place...

Go on, do it...

I've called them three times this month and the first time I had a replacement sent by second-day air and the other times were overnighted.

Apparently so, because i called either on the 23 or 24, and had a brand new 6682 (full kit) on wednesday. Might be because i have the EPP on my plan, so i had to do xbm thru lockline.

I last called on Monday.

I was told they had no 'full kits' availble and then later not even 'base units' (evidently just the guts of the phone) to send out.

Did you get the full kit (phone and charger and all or just a base unit to switch out face plates on?

I got the full kit last friday. Does anybody see or feel the difference in material of the body and keys (try it to see under the dark room and the backlit is different under the key pad).

please provide some input..

when did you originally request the full kit? and did you have to specifically ask for it? I was told they don't give them out.

I just received mine from XBM. Ordered via OLAM on Thursday night. I got the phone only minus battery and battery cover. It has firmware version 4.62.0.

I called up and ordered over the phone a couple of weeks ago and what showed up was a refurbished 6682 (phone only) running the old firmware.

I sent it back and did the XBM via the web tool on Friday, got another refurbished handset yesterday (again, phone only), but this time it was running the new release.

I am so lucky!! I have another line which has Razr... I asked them to replace with 6682 full kit and they did it for me!!! (I had exchanged razr for 3 times before this)...it is already shipped and will be in tomorow!!!

I just recieved my 6682 today. Phone only but it works great so I am HAPPY!!!
