Oh, well. At least iTunes is pretty good on the SLVR and runs in the background. I just wish you could hook up the SLVR to more than 1 PC to make changes to iTunes on the phone. That's the limitation that really grinds my gears (even more so than the 100 song limit). ![]() |

this is a USB2.0 connection to the SLVR |

But if you're talking about the USB Mass Storage speed, then that's unusually slow... I find it's about 2mins for a 5mb file. |

Motorola Phone Tools Make sure you have the latest version of MPT by using "Setup->Live Update". The latest version is 4.04, so you may have to run it more than once to get all the updates. MPT wouldn't recognize my ROKR initially, but once I updated to 4.04 everything was fine. Also, MPT doesn't seem to care if your phone is in "Memory Card" or "Data/Fax Connection" mode when you connect it. If it's in the wrong mode, MPT will switch it for you. Motorola MIDlets Manager For MMM your phone has to be in "Data/Fax Connection" mode in order for it to be recognized. Switch your phone to that mode, connect it, and when prompted for the drivers, point it to the "P2K_Drivers" folder for each one. Once the drivers are all installed, launch MMM and it should pick it up just fine. This is only what I did to get my ROKR working, but hopefully this will help you. |

But if you're using Lightplayer, you don't need to use iTunes ![]() |

all good except for the iTunes which I managed to delete by mistake,
I would just like to find a way to re-install it if possible and not have to delete everything and end up with a brick.

now, with "itunes mobile" how do i make it read my mp3s? these files should come with a little "read me" notepad attachment file ^-^ i'm good at following directions, but most of these programs come w/o any, same goes for that "monster pack" thing, i tried looking for instructions cause I deleted my original Itunes from my V3i and some dude told me to do the MP thing to recover my files, now ... I have it in a folder, but how do I install it? didn't come with instructions, i went to the website and it explains about flex/flash/flux/flush/crap thing but nothing about monster pack or what programs to use with it ... Everything in my phone works fine, video, pictures, ring tones, bluetooth, web browser, etc all good except for the iTunes which I managed to delete by mistake, I would just like to find a way to re-install it if possible and not have to delete everything and end up with a brick. I'd be happy with the player that comes with the phone if it could play a song list and if it would allow me to listen to the song while closed, I'm still trying to get DAP to work on my phone again, that's the only program that when did install it ran smooth, but lol none of my ringers would work, nor my alarms ... |

The thing is that when I installed the Jad it didn't have anything checked, i rebooted, then i checked corelet and rebooted again and this "corrupted files" crap would pop up, this is with all programs, now if I install them and just ran the program they seem to initialize and run fine, but they just won't find my song files, then I tried installing them and only clicking flip and signed, rebooted and nothing, I've reformatted my card, uninstalled the programs, re-installed them in different ways, corelet/signed/flip were checked, unchecked just to see if one of those times it would run but nothing ... What if I was to purchase another phone and just copy/paste all the folders, would that work? maybe I'll go for the V3x this time ![]() |

After finally finding a way to get Light Player to work on SLVR L7, i decided to build a winamp mobile skin for the Lightplayer. The good thing about this is that i built the skin right into the jar, so if you install this you will automatically be using the winamp mobile skin.
To Install: - first download Winamp Mobile 1.0 (LightPlayer) and Moto MIDlets Manager v0.22 - unzip motomidman, and open MotoMidMan.exe - unzip Winamp Mobile 1.0.zip into a temp dir (Ex. C:\Temp\) - plug in your SLVR L7, and you should see bottom left "Connected" - if motomidman is showing in russian language, click on the 4th tab, and change the top drop down menu to "English" - after you have connected your phone to motomidman, click on "Phone memory" tab - click on "Install" -> "JAR File..." and select the unzipped "Winamp Mobile.jar" - after it has finished installing, Winamp Mobile should be on the list, right click on Winamp Mobile, select "Access" -> "Enable" Note: this gives winamp mobile access to the tflash and internal memory. - now click on Restart, and you should see Winamp Mobile installed. Any problems let me know, will be releasing another LightPlayer skin soon, working on a Itunes theme. heres a screenshot: ![]() |
