Must have programs for UIQ?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hey guys, i just got my P910a so i'm just wondering; what are some "must have" programs that you simply cannot pass up?

Also, is there a similar program like CellTrack that can work on UIQ?

Thanks

Must get the "firefighting" game...

Get MauMau - Card game like UNO

IM+ is not bad as well

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/126 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3)

Texas hold'em king.

A better calculator.

And maybe something that can enable GPS on your phone.

Sman
Profimail
Opera
Handysafe
VNC

SMan is best. You can't use a P910a without it.
Smart Movie is also good
And...
Tracker/Handy Day Pro
Opera (and Opera Mini)

If you are going to install many programs should you have OPL Runtime and App Forge Booster

sman

Hey SMAN lovers....I downloaded SMAN, but I noticed alot of people love them...why is it? what so great about it? What is the purpose of this fuction?

I have Sman as well, but personally i don't find it all that great (although it's decent)

The Task Manager on it is decent, but i have a better one in TaskMan

The File Manager is decent as well, but i have another file manager that is more intuitive and does more.

There are also a few other modules but i don't really need/use any of it.

So all in all i guess it's a good all in one package, but individually speaking, the "modules" themselves aren't really that great.

I find that a program called "X" is actually useful, since it allows you to close programs right after you're finished with it instead of loading it all up into memory and having to close each one in a program such as Taskman or Sman.

On another note, does anyone know if there's a program similar to CellTrack on S60? I find it useful to know my DB levels. Thanks

You can find out your DB levels with SMan. I just stumbled accross it right now. To find your DB level, launch sman and tap Fn. Then tap Modules and locate Network Info. Give it a tap and away you go! It seems to read at a different scale than celltrack on the s60 devices. The 6681 I just replaced with my p910a used to show -75 to -85 in my apartment. My p910a is showing a pretty solid -47 dBm. It jumps sometimes (not as often), but only to -65. I doubt the antenna is that much better, so the scaling must be different. I hope this helps, I think it's pretty sweet (I'm a DB level junkie with my phones).

Wow!! Das neat...Thank you!! It seems like it can also give alot of info in you know what you are looking for or if you know all these system, abbv., codes....etc This can be useful !!
One thing I found it's weird on my p910i for SMAN. My quick shortcut button on the right side is for internet, but sometime it will switch to SMAN without me knowing. Dunno why?? Does any1 know how to program these shortcut button(which is located outside) One is for photo and one is for internet.

Thanks again
Aloha

I don't know if you can change the internet/camera buttons with the regular phone software, but I have a program called magic launcher and it has a "hotkey" setting. Right now, when I press my internet button, it launches my tasks. You can program it to launch different applications with the flip either open or closed. It's pretty cool. SMan seems to have some sort of hotkey setting, but I'm already using the other program, so I'm just going to leave it alone.

i'm using a program called SpeakNowDialler and it uses that same key on the side next to the camera key and if i hold it it still goes to Internet but if i just hit it once, it goes to that program. i believe SMan worked the same way before i installed this new program.

about SMan, i assume the percentege bar thats at the lower right corner is to measure performance( bigger #- faster response, smaler #- slower).am i right to assume that? and what is the perecentege# you guys get? mine has gone down as low as 42%, but it usualy is between 50% and 60%.i wonder if thats normal, if not, i wonder what is???

Anyone have a camera app that lets you send multiple pics via email? The camera app on the 910 is awful!
