Has anybody tried both the v3i with itunes and the v3i with motorolas mp3 player? Does the one with itunes have a louder stereo heaset volume? Mine with motorolas mp3 player had very poor volume so just wondering if it is different.

I dont know how to seem edit i tried but it was to confusing

you can use p2k tools to edit the volume without a seem edit..its one of the options...

i think Mototool has a gain table editing feature that is as simple as sliding tabs to increase volume. it should be in MoMo.

I used p2k and it would not recognise the phone

did you get your computer to install all the drivers??..also if you have Mobile Phone Tools and it recognizes your phone you can do it the ghetto way...

1. open p2k tools and let it run in the background
2. open MPT and let it try to find the phone
3. p2k tools will recognize the phone as soon as MPT switches it over

thats how it works with my V3i...

How did you get your p2k or RSD Lite to recognize your V3i? It's coming up as "Other Devices" on my computer and has a big yellow question mark next to it. Is there a XP driver for the V3i?

Thanks.

So did anyone figured it out, how to increase mp3 volume?
Or is it specific issue with itunes?

Posted by: troyboy30

just use the good ole fashioned hex editor to edit the gain table

mp3 volume is

offset 49 external speaker mp3/midi/video gain (original setting: 01, recommended setting: 03) (master control at offset 4C: 08)

or you can use p2kadvancededitor since its one of the few that will allow you to go higher than the recommended settings on the v3

u can also use P2KAE version2198, it is very easy
