I just bought a bluetooth doogle and usd the drivers and softeware that came with it. It works great and I can transfer anything I want and it is fast, it is one I got off of Ebay. I tried to use it with MPT and it doesn't detect it, I have tried to paired the phone with windows but it doesn't work.

Should I uninstall the software that came with the doogle, or just ued MPT with the USB cable only?

MPT Bluetooth setup!!!

In mPT the Bluetooth wizard isn't installing my phone.

Answer:
1. You need to make your phone discoverable - On many phones you do this by going through the phones menu, then selecting Settings, Connection, Bluetooth Link, Setup, you will then see Find Me highlighted on the menu, and make it discoverable for 60 seconds (These settings may vary by phone)

2. On your PC go to My Bluetooth Places and click View Devices in Range from the My Bluetooth Places window.

3. Devices in range will show up and you should see a your phone. Right-click on your phone and left-click Pair Device. On the screen you should be prompted to enter a PIN code to ensure a secure connection, enter a code you would like to use.

4. Your phone will now ask you if you would like to pair with the computer, select Yes, then Enter the PIN code you entered on your computer in step 3

5. Your device is now paired.

6. From here, go ahead and Launch mobile PhoneTools (and in some versions go ahead and make a new profile).

7. If the Setup wizard appears, Cancel out of here.

8. Mobile PhoneTools should launch.

9. Press the F6 key to go into the manual setup, click the Communication tab, then click the Change Modem button.

10. A device detection should occur which will identify your phone and give you a Next button. Click Next.

11. A configuration completion window should appear stating that it has setup your phone, with a Bluetooth connection. Click Finish then click OK on the Setup window. Mobile PhoneTools should not be setup to work with your phone over Bluetooth.
