There are a lot of posts on here on what and how to make it work... but if you simply have a phone where you cant alter or set up your own GPRS settings, or have PORT settings in the phone..forget it....it wont work at all.

looks like what he is saying is we either need to do some seem edits or have it flexed/reflashed to release the configuration settings in our v3.

yeah... the question is what..I looked into some other threads but couldnt come out with anything clear

This is how I set up my opera for the motorola L6 which should be the same for the V3:

1) Make sure that any web sessions you have created/ copied manually are deleted. You will know this because will will see the words "[New Entry]" while scrolling through your web sessions.
2) Go to this website : http://tmobileus.wdsglobal.com/phonefirst
Setup your phone for T-mobile wap. Follow the directions for installing the settings to your phone.
2) after inalling go to web sessions and you will see under web sessions "T-Zones Gprs" and it will be locked. Scroll to it anyway and hit the menu button. YOu should see the option for "Copy entry". Hit this option and enter your new Gprs settings name. Go to this new web session just created and hit menu then edit. This will now give you a clean slate to work with with all options available.
3) Only change these settings :
name: whatever
homepage: http://wap.myvoicestream.com
service type 1:http
proxy 1: 216.155.165.050
port 1:8080
service type 2: http
proxy 2:216.155.165.050
port 2:8080
gprs apn:wap.voicestream.com

Leave all other fields blank. Thats it. set this as default and it should work.

I have been having trouble with T-zones recently so YOu might have some problems getting online.

Posted by: ls88

I'm not connecting the phone as a modem... I just got opera mini to work

Posted by: O_loung1

how did you unlock it? i was referring to connecting to the pc with pkman to seem edit.

oh ok sorry. to get web sessions menu unlocked u have to edit seem 0032_0001 offset 2F and make sure bit 1 is checked.

more seem edits: http://pagefusion.com/index.php?PID=25&PGID=400

Or to make it even easier--download P2kMenuEditor over at motomodders.net and choose the hidden menu items tab and click enable(there are other menus that can be enabled there as well). Very simple to use.
