Still waiting for the 47R FW to be patched for the E398, that would be the latest as of today.

i heard the 47r would be almost like 6FR.... as there is no 6FR for ROKR.... bt that could be wrong...

Yeah, im staying away from 6FR type firmwares, i can't risk battery life over functions at all. Im using the MModders 45R at the moment. I'll never use 6FR until something better or equal to 45R comes along. LONG LIVE 45R. hehe.

Yes, u r rite i have a 6FR n i need to charge my phone every single day

can i get back to 45R jus usin any other MP or is there any special procedure?

hey area51,

did you use the bst edit for the battery function using motorolaServiceSoft3[1].8?
think muncheno had something set up for that in esnips. dunno how he developed the bst file but he stated its the one that works best for him and his 6fr MP.

i used to have the beta 2 version of MotoSymbian 6FR based, very battery draining firmware (1.5 days with no usage and no itunes). but then the russians released the version from 28.12.2005 and it is the best in battery life, functionality, looks and originality. i get 4-5 days with moderate usage, but no itunes.

they announced a new release at the beginning of February so i'm watching the Motofan forum.

Yes, i'm currently using my V398 .bst battery file that i had backed up with MSS1.8. I'm running 45R with iTunes enabled, " i like itunes ".

All in all, i just think that i need to get a new battery for my e398. I've had the same battery for over 2 1/2 years now and i think it's time to either upgrade it to a "Li Polymer" that i've seen that's compatible with the e398, i think it's a 1400 or 1500 mAh battery or just get the regular one.

So, you cahnged from a 1.5 days 6FR MP to another 6FR MP that gives you 4 to 5 days of usage? can you be so kind as to provide me/us with a link to d/l this MP? i would like to try it if the battery usage is improved to 4 to 5 days.

4 to 5 days of battery usage on 6FR is not miracle.I achieved that when I'm on W800i mp.
