| So I take it you guys are uploading actual mp3 files. So what kind of scaling do you do when it comes to mp3 quality. |

I have mine at full 128kbps or higher mp3's. For one minute (or less) ringers (plenty long enough!), there's no point in reducing quality. |

| Your file size would be too big and there will be no more room for games and all the other goodies. |

Using iTunes to make AAC ringers! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an easy way to make AAC ringers without any software besides iTunes. Open any .mp3 files in iTunes. In iTunes, select Info (apple+I on the macs). Set the Start and End times to the places where you want your ringtone to start and end. Now go to the iTunes preferences (apple+, on the mac). In the importing settings, select AAC and then set the bitrate (32k works well). Now in your song list, click on your song and select Convert to AAC. On the mac this option is found under the Advanced drop down window on the top toolbar. Oncethe files has been converted it will be a new file that is of the selected length. You might want to make the ID3 Artist tag read RINGERS so that it is easy to locate it on your hard drive since iTunes organizes by artists. Just find the files and upload via focus. Also, a good source for songs, as I stated in another post, is walmart.com -Sami |

I got as far as clipping the the portion of the song I want to use as a ringtune and converted to AAC but there doesn't seem to be an option to convert it back to mp3 format which my understanding is the format required for a ringtune ?
