Will Cingular be releasing a Treo 700x sometime soon?

My contract is up and I'm trying to decide whether to jump to Verizon for their Treo or stay with Cingular and get one when they release it.

Verizon exclusive for 6 months I believe starting the 1st of Jan, The earilest you would see it with Cingular is Q4.

One of, if no thee most overhyped device Ive seen in a long time IMO.

Dont take my word for it though, read the reviews.

Cingular should be launching something similar called the Cingular 8125. There's a sticky thread about that phone.

From what I have read, it would appear the 8125 has the Treo beaten in almost all aspects, save the Treo's "onehandedness". With its slide out keyboard, the 8125 is not much of a one handed device.

I have to agree. 240x240 screen resolution. Mediocre processor and memory, no wifi....and it's CDMA

But then again no device out there meets my requirements, and they won't for another 347845375470852 years....

I want a pda with the screen resolution of the nokia 770 (800x460 I believe?)
I want some of the specs of the axim x51v, 624mhz and 128 mem. I want me some bluetooth 2.0, or at least 1.2 with the A2DP profile. It'd be great to have some hsdpa action goin' on with it too, so of course I'd want some dual 1.3+ megapixel camera action for snapping pics or video conferencing. I also love the htc wizard's form factor, I think it's simply the best. Rectangular screen with a slide out qwerty. Give me that....and I'll be in heaven!

The only thing coming would be the htc hermes, but it's still missing a lot of the things I'd love to have in a device

The HTC Hermes, due out in May, if I recall correctly, should meet most of your needs. However, it, unfortunately, retains the QVGA resolution of the Wizard.
