got my 6682 but i came with a lot of scratches

i got my new nokia 6682 from cingular online sales and it has a ton of scratches on the screen.has anyone had this problem and what should i do,thanks michael

There should be a contact number on the invoice & I would advise contacting them ASAP to advise them that the phone was damaged while being shipped.

The screen has a protector on it from the factory. Make sure you don't still have that on it cause they come pretty beat up.

...wait, hold the phone: are you guys/gals saying that the "thing" on the screen with the silver left corner needs to be taken off? I was not aware of this. I thought it was there as additional protection...

i took mine off.i just never seen it there.i never put scratches on my phones,watch know i bet i will know.

Yes people, you are definitely supposed to take that off. It it just for new phones, and should not be considered protection for regular use of the phone. There are plenty of regular screen protectors you can purchase to properly protect your phone.

I would leave that on till you get a real screen protector, but thats just me.

I've had my 6682 for 6 weeks now without the hint of a scratch on the screen. I am pretty careful, but have dropped my keys in the same pocket a time or two with no scratches as a result. I think this thing has a pretty tough screen.
