Should I Flash/Flex my RAZR?

Hi guys. So I have had my RAZR phone for a while now and haven't kept it up to date. Thing is the slow menus and buzzing is starting to bug me and I think it could be fixed by flashing my phone. Thing is I have seen so many flashes/flexes out here where some actually decrease the battery life and/or the reception. I love my battery life right now so I def. don't want something that will make it worse. Can you guys recommend me a flash/flex that is up to date and stable and does not shorten the battery life and make the reception any worse please?

Here is the info about what I have on the phone now:

Software: R374_G_0E.40.9CR
Flex: GSMV3xxCIN02NA0A5

In addition this pohne has been unlocked, but without the unlock code, so I can not afford to flash it to something that will lock it to cingular because I am currently using this phone on ATT Wireless/Cingular Blue. Thanks guys so much in advance.

Leave the flex as it is and just reflash to the latest flash 42.0ER.

thanks. IT wouldnt effect my battery life or signal strength (to the worst) would it? Also what would I gain except memory?

http://www.planetmotox.net/ this is great site for v3
for battery life, maybe and maybe not...
advice (buy another battery (recomended used) and flash/flex with used one)

wait so u mean the actual flashing could kill my battery? I thought it had to do with the actual firmware and not the process?

Also how can I check what bootloader I have on the razr. I searched everywhere and read the sticky but cant find any info.
