Does the i850 support mp3 ringtones...if so...

I have a buddy that just got an i850 and i have an i760 and i dunno if they support mp3 ringtones. If they do what is the format that you use and any advice on the programs to use?

Yes I believe they both do. I would recommend Cool Edit or Adobe Audition. Heres the settings from Adobe.

The problem is that most convertors dont allow you to change the max bandwidth, so even if you have the other settings correct it will not load. The settings in the screenshot work perfectly everytime

48 kbps works also, gives you a little better quality. Also the ID3 tag has to be blank or else it won't load to the phone. But if you use Adobe Audion/Cool Edit there's a box that says "save extra non-audio information," leave that unchecked.
