so im currently in a store with essentially 3 new guys on ramp up. stores gone downhill and we're at our lowest mark. of course i benefit from it as all acts go to me, but eventually by april theyll be off ramp up (1 of them begun early jan, the other last 2 weeks of jan).

issue is, i hate it here. i cannot stand being here. my old boss who moved to a slow store, wants me to go to his store, but the fact remains that his store is doing the same #'s as we are in my store( but im getting all the acts thus making $$).

if i went he would teach me management stuff, so i can move up to become assistant. the commute is furhter. about a 22 miles different.

what do you think?

my fear primarly is quota. i dont want to be sam'd but i know theyll become strict soon enough. i got a cushion here at my current store as ramp up for the reps allows me to make $$ off them. that'll eventually wear off but im stuck in a dilema.

I suggest you get out of there. You seem to really hate it. I used to think I hated my job, but man, you make me realize I dont hate it as much as you do. Start looking for a job like with Verizon or T-mo.

Or, you can give these n00bs a chance. Maybe teach them the stuff YOU know. Thats a BIG part of management, being someone you can look up to. Maybe thats why your manager wont teach you "manager things." Because maybe he doesnt see that you want to help people learn and grow with their jobs.

I suggest being patient as well. I help out new hires myself and I know how difficult the process is.

this is a big point. Though your other manager friend will teach you the computer side of management (which is important), being able to tell someone that you've trained 3 employees at the same time and they've become blah blah blah sales person then that experience will take you to somewhere beyond wireless.

it's a hard question to answer but I would stay where you were at if I were you. manager computer stuff can be taught by anybody once you get a manager position. knowing how to train 3 people at the same time and making them something...... that's experience only training.....

dude since i've been on here this is like the 7th post you have had on the same topic, but it changes each time... first you had no employees and had to work all the time. now you have help and it is aggravating you. my suggestion is you are the only one who can change the situation. and if you manager doesn't take action take it to their manager or HR. Don't sit here posting rants all day long man up and make things happen.

my new manager isnt here too much. my old managers knew i was good at teaching, but when you're put in a position as mine who works tons of hours w/o no staff, and then works regular hours but doing more crap with little or no benefit.

my manager doesnt care. i could train top reps but whatever. im just another peon here.

i dont hate my job.just the store itself.

the people who made me love my job are mostly gone. only one person is left but hes gone crazy on me and is mia lately (for 2 weeks)

don't take me as an ***... i am just the type of person who believes "never depend on other, do for yourself"

good luck with everything man, and i hope all works out.
