Hey Guys...

I know that a lot of high end phones including most of the PDAs arent covered under Lockline Insurance. What do you guys do to protect your investment and is there different type of insurance I could get for my Treo so that if anything were to happen to it, i could get it fixed or replaced.

Thanks...

I carry my phones very carefully. I have lockline but about 70% of the phones I own are non cingular phones so they would be covered anyway

i have a nokia 6682 and i just make sure that i don't take it to the bathroom with me to avoid dropping it in the toilet....

i make sure its in a zippered pocket when its raining out and that the zipper is closed

i don't put it in sweatpants pockets or shorts pockets for risk of it falling out...jeans are tighter so it wont just fall out accidentallly

besides that i just make sure i don't leave it in random places where it can be stolen or misplaced.... it's like my wallet, i always kinda know where they are and am careful where to place them.

I cover my 2125 w/ my home insurance (declared value of $500) - cost is $17.50 per year - much cheaper than the Cingular coverage (if it were available). I'm not sure of all the coverage I have with it, but if it is stolen, I do have a $50 deductible...

the last time i spoke with the lockline rep she suggested that some credit cards might offer extender warranty protection programs.
