How to play MP3's in your car???

Hey guys i just purchased a little MP3 player from napster and wanted to use it to listen to music through my car. Unfortunatly my car (2005 Toyota Corolla Sport) does not have an auxillary audio input jack. So i went out and purchased a belkin tunecast II FM transmitter. Oh my god was that thing horriable...nothing but static. Does anyone know of a much better FM transmitter or another way to get my mp3 player to play in my car. The car is a lease so i cant go to crazy...

Thanks in advance

Brian

does your car have cassette
if so, buy a cassette adaptor, and you're set

^^ This is what I do, works great I have been doing this for years.

I assume you got the free player when you sign up for Napster to go? If so I suggest spending the extra $50 and getting the 1gb much better player, wish I would have gotten it instead of that cruddy player lol.

Yeah...For that, buy a cassette adapter...I use the new iTrip with my iPod and it gives me pretty good quality...

Yea i signed up for napster - to - go i spent the extra $50 to get the 1gb player.

And no i dont have a tape deck, this is a 2005 car. This is about the only time i wished i had a tape deck. My car has a stock 6 CD disc changer. Like i said this is a lease so i cant do to much to the car.

Then I would look into one of those radio station things, where you turn it to a certain station to play it from your MP3 player. Also I suggest you get a nice one, the cheapies suck the big one. I have a 96 that has a Tape and a CD player in it not too common but was worth it lol.

Does anyone have any recomendations on a good FM transmitter than. Like i said i spent $50.00 on a Belkin Tunecast II FM Transmitter...and it was horriable. Nothing but static, than you would get it just perfect and start driving and within 5 seconds of driving you would get nothing but static fading in and out...

Does anyone else have any better ideas...

figure out how to connect it to the RCA input jacks on the back of the head unit..Takes a lot of work, but works the best.

If the Belkin didn't work very well for you, nothing is going to work much better. Any upgrade in quality will be highly marginal. Cassette tape should work a bit better, but remember, you'll never get any better sound than if you were listening to a tape. Only good option for quality sound is a direct connect.

cant do the tape thing... dont have a tape player in the car...

You don't really have much of a choice then if you don't want to use your Belkin or get a head unit with an aux input.

The Belkin Web page gives some stations that are optimal for use in various zip codes.
