ok well if i have songs on the transflash card how do i use them as ringtones. i can cut them down but what ending do they need midi, mp3, 3gp or what.

mp3 is what you want. Also if your e815 doesn't have the file transfer active then you can't set the songs as ringtones. All you will be able to do is use the phone as an mp3 player.

Thats not true!
Cut the song down to proper length. Change the extention to .mid and put it on your Card.
Put the card back into your phone.
Now, create a new Pix Message. Send it to 555-5555 (yes it's a fake bogus number they use on TV all the time, don't worry about it). You don't have to type anything in it, just attach the ringtone to the message, and then try and send it.
It will fail to send of course. But because it failed to send, the file (along with the ringtone) will now be on your phone. Now just go into your outbox and find the file, go in and save the ringtone thats attached to it and save and/or assign it to whatever you'd like.

how do you change the extension??Use to have Nextel now I have verizion e815, can I use the same ringtones that I made for them over the years? Someone please help?? The 3 things I want to learn is skins, ringtones, and wallpapers.

Just go into your file that has the ringtone in it. Highlight it and then right click (or just right click on it). Go down to rename and click on that. Then, press the end key on your keyboard, backspace two (2) times, and then type id. Press enter.
It's going to say something about renaming the file....don't worry about it, just press ok or enter again, and your done. The file has been renamed.

That's kinda weird. I never had to rename the extention. I just sent the mp3 to the bogus # and saved it to my phone and it worked.
