Charging Animation on SLVR L7?

Is there suppose to be a charging animation when you charge your SLVR?
I just got my SLVR today, I bought it online. They gave me a EURO adaptor, which doesn't work for me being in US. So I bought a generic adaptor from Radioshack to charge my phone.
So is there suppose to be an animation that lets you know that its charging? Cause I don't have one.

No animation, but it will display "charging" and "Charge Compeleted" when its done charge..
