No Ringtone Sounds on LG 8100

If anyone can help me, I would be so grateful. I have used Bitpim to download midi files to my 8100, using USB and Bluetooth. When I view "my ringtones" on the phone, the ringtone is there. Then I press "play", and there is no sound! I have used Ringtone Converter and Polyphonic Wizard, and I still have the same problem. Any ideas?

Same problem with the latest version of BitPim and my LG VX3200.
I can upload a ringtone to the phone, and it shows up in the phone menu, but there is no sound.
