I just bought a usb cord for my lg8100 and i got the BitPim program to transfer all other things, and i have been successful in doing everything except how to transfer songs on to my mp3 player on the cell phone. I really need someones help on how to send songs through my usb cord to my phone.

Okay, all you need to do is format the card (Settings & Tools, System, Manage Memory, Card Memory, click the right button to choose Options, Format Card. After the card is formatted, plug the phone into your PC, open BitPim, click the Filesystem tab, open the mmc1 folder, and add mp3 files into the my_mp3 folder. It'll take a good while for each song to upload, so I suggest buying a card reader. After that, I think you have to shut your phone off and turn it back on for the songs to show up... I'm not sure. But there ya go. I'm assuming you have a software version higher than 1, so now you can use the mp3 player and buttons on the front of the phone.

right click on the my_mp3 folder and then click new file, search for the mp3 on your computer you want to add to phone then select open. But i'm telling you,it will take forever,i HIGHLY suggest using a sd card reader that you plug into your usb port and add the files to your sd card with windows explorer as apposed to the bitpim method.

Get a SD/miniSD card reader... Faster than using a cable. Use the cabe for ringtones....

The quickest way to up load amp3's to your phone is thru your SD/miniSD card. Plug it into your computer thru your card reader. Next go to my computer and you will see it listed as a removeable disk, probably drive letter "E." Double click it. You will see your mp3 folder. Click it and live it open. Minimize it. Now, open the folder where your songs are. Now, just copy the original song and paste it in your mp3 folder. Try avoiding long names for your song. Shorten the names of your songs. This should work. This is the way I do it. No need to use bitpim for loading mp3's. Us bitpim for loading ringtones, saving address book, etc.
