lg 2000 data cable needed!!

i have the lg 2000, and i need to upload pictures to my computer and such, so i need to find the data cable, but unfortunately most sites only sell the cable not the software. where can i get both? or i read somewhere that you can get the cable and just d/l the usb-intall program. Is that true? pls help!
