v550 uppercase Messaging

I've got a V550 that has primary language set to ITAP English and the secondary as TAP English.
If I prepare a new text message to send, the editor comes up and everything I type is uppercase. I can press the hash key to select mixed case but I'd like it to default to this. I can't find anything on the phone I can configure and I haven't seen any seem edit for it either.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do

Try Search On Seem Edits.. Might Be In There.
