App Unlock After Factory Reset

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Before my phone crashed on me, and I was forced to factory reset my phone, I was able to install applications. I think my phone was "Application Unlocked" BTW Im using an Unlocked SMT-5600....

Now, after my reset, I restored a old Sprite backup I had and now I cant install ANY applications. When ever I try it asks me where I want to install the program either on the phone memory or storage card, then whatever I select it tells me that it cant install in that location....

So my question is, since I reset my phone, did I also reset my application unlock? And do I have to do it again? Or is something wrong with my phone and I need to do something else....

TIA for any info.

Yes you have to

Yes. A hard reset will not subsidy-lock your phone again (you can still use SIM cards from different carriers), but it re-lock the phone application-wise. In fact, you may want to hard-reset the phone again, application-unlock it and then restore the Sprite Backup file. Restoring a backup writes to sensitive areas of the Registry, which may be the reason why your phone, now application-locked again, has gone wacky on you.
