Bluetooth Stereo Headphones and the E815

i think i may be retarded at searching this forum because I found reviews of BT headsets, but no separate discussion on the following. If I missed it, it would be so kind of someone to point me the right direction and tell me how to find it.

anyway....

The Motorola HT820 headphones are stereo. So, can we use them to listen to our MP3s on the E815 transflash , and then the phone automatically interrupts when a call comes in and routes it to you, OR, must we do it the ugly way because there is no microphone (right?) and listen to music by plugging in, and answering the phone with our BT earpiece?

Does this make sense to anyone? Shouldn't there be a headset where you can do both: listen to music and answer/make calls in STEREO?

Thanks in advance for your insights....or links!

I beleive when a call comes in it routes it to you but i might be wrong check the motorola forum under verizon there many threads on the e815 there.

Yes, I've tried looking there, but does anyone know of a stereo headset (with a microphone), and is the e815 capable of this? I can't seem to find anything regarding the e815 and this sort of configuration.

A phone needs the a2dp profile to play music over BT, and the e815 doesn't have that. No US motorola phones have that profile yet.

I also have a BT stereo headset and an e815. As far as I have found there is no way to play music over BT. The profile 'a2dp' is missing. Still trying to figure out how to get that after the fact.
Anyone?

stinks dont it, I bought an adapter 3.5 to 2.5 so I could use my bose head phones
WELL when I get a call I have to yank the 2.5 mm plug out to answer the call
other wise I can hear the caller but they cant hear me.
now long before I ruin my 2.5 jack

DJESTER put it as succintly as possible above. Regretably, the E815 doesn't support stereo bluetooth. Okay, so in another year or two, we'll have to replace the E815 with a new phone that does. Sigh. Once again, in order for a bluetooth phone to support stereo headphones it must have bluetooth a2dp, otherwise it cannot do it. Bummer!

Now I'm looking for an adapter with a built in mic.
You get what I mean?
It would have a little mic next to a standard 1/8" mini stereo headset plug, and a couple of feet of cord to connect to the phone's 2.5mm headset port.
Has anyone seen this?

what about mono mp3 via bluetooth? i cant get music to play over a bluetooth link at all. when i start a song i get the first second or so and then the music cuts out and plays over the speakerphone. is there any way to get my music over bluetooth? thanks.

No it isn't possible, I beleive because of the way the phone's hardware is designed. Even if it were possible in the hardware/software, it would be sending the music's audio data over the standard headset profile, which is designed for voice. Ever had someone play a song over the phone for you? Thats what it'd sound like.
