2125 - bah, total storage and memory looks wrong, way to change to miniSD card?

I thought I saw a thread here about it but I cannot find it now. I thought Omega2008 had it on his blog, but I can't find it there either.

I bought a miniSD card for my 2125, 2 things:

1. Is it supposed to show the storage card in the About or Sys Info? Cause it doesn't but I can "browse" to the card.

2. What can I store on there? The about screen right now shows Total Storage 20.94MB, available as 6MB, and then Total Memory 45MB. I thought the card had 2 64MB chips in it, no? I'd like to be able to move my activesync exchange mail to the miniSD card, as well as anything else that doesn't need to run directly off the device.

Any advice is great...thanks!

I had similar questions about this previously. There are two 64MB memory chips: one ROM and one RAM. If you look under System Info from Settings, FLASH is the ROM (and RAM is RAM). Windows Mobile uses the RAM for both memory and storage. It dynamically allocates space to Storage and Memory. Unfortunately, I don't know how to change how it allocates (you can do this with the Pocket PC version). Total Memory and Total Storage will add up to 64MB (or thereabouts). The ROM is only for system files and apps built into the device.

To see information about the Storage Card, you can look under System Info from File Manager. You should be able to store just about anything there, although some apps don't run well or at all off of the storage card. I know some folks store their PIE cache on the storage card, but I haven't heard about people storing Exchange docs there. Not to say it can't be done, but I've not heard of it.

check www.tleone.com

I have tutorials on how to move your IE cache and mail and attachments to the storage card. Also getting ClearVue on storage card.

Once you install more programs, during the install, you can choose to put them on your storage card. You can also redirect your documents to the storage card too. Its an option in the phone, just dont remember off the top of my head where it was.

Thanks,

I think I found the redirecting in File Manager under Options, there is a "move temp storage to storage card". And it looks like I might be able to redirect folders/files by going to the properties of those folders.
