Just want a little clarification before I make the purchase of my next cell phone. I am currently mulling over purchasing a new Qtek 8310 and I was wondering if Skype was working with Windows Mobile 5.0. Damn that would help save on my bills. Any info is appreciated!

there is a hack for Skype Pocket Pc version onto the smartphone but too much trouble and inconsistent. However Woize works great. Same as Skype but works much better as it is designed for the smartphone. goto www.woize.com

I got a 700w from work. not so good. too little ram to have it running and other stuff. get another windows mobile phone if you are going to use memory intensive stuff like this.

Skype has been agreesively working on a Mobile product. They just recently released another version of their Skype for PPC. They have 2 versions, one for lower power CPUs and one for those with higher than 312 MHZ Mobile CPUS. I have read mixed reviews, even on the same phone make/model. Claims vary widely, i.e. Some work great, some medium etc. It will boil down to your own "mileage may very" once you get it. Do a search as a thread has been ongoing in here as well.
