No more wap.cingular access for BB users?

For the last few months I've been on a BB unlimited plan and have been swapping my sim between my 7290 and my smartphone. Up until a few days ago, everything was fine with service on both devices.

Now my bb works fine, but i can no longer connect to gprs at all using my smartphone.

Have they elimated wap.cingular access for BB users finally?

No, they still work....I am using it on my bb currently....

OK, after 3 consecutive calls to data support, i got it fixed.

Call 1: "sorry, sir, you are not entitled to wap.cingular access on the BB plans. would you like to add wap.cingular access for 19.99"

Call 2: "sorry, sir, you are not entitled to wap.cingular access on the BB plans. would you like to add wap.cingular access for 19.99"

Call 3: "let me see if re-setting your connection helps. it should. you are entitled to wap.cingular access."

Rep 3 fixed it simply by "re-setting" my connection.

Amazing inconsistency...

Here is the problem with call centers, It's hard to get rep 3 because they are helpful which makes them stay on calls longer which means they are less often available for calls. They never win awards and the boss gets mad because their call handling time is higher than reps 1&2. When they tire of this, they either quit or join the club.

Likewise, no one keeps reps 1 or 2 on the phone long so the odds of you reaching them is high. Because their talk time is low and the number of calls they take is high they win awards, bonuses and eventually make Supervisor where they can coach their work ethic to an entire team of reps.
