When trying to display the satellite images I get an error saying the phone does not display jpeg. I beleive it really means it does not display jpeg in Java. I am using an Imate SP5.

Here's what Google FAQ says:

When I select "Satellite" from the application menu, why do I see the message, "This phone cannot display satellite imagery"?
Google Local for mobile uses an image format called JPEG to display satellite images. Most, but not all mobile phones support JPEG images in Java applications.

I see from other posts that I am not alone in this problem and it looks like SMT5600 users have the same issue.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

same issue, i guess you would have to somehow let the java manager be able to open jpgs
