Hey. I have a data cable and I was curious whether I could use it as a modem. If so, how?

Posted by: Kato13

Alright. I figured out everything. My problem now is that the call drops anywhere between four or five seconds. Anyone know why?

Im going to bring this back to the top so someone can answer Kato's question since Im interested in this myself..

Can you get on the web using the USB cable it came with or do you have to have a seperate cable to do it?? How fast is it??

Anybody? I have dialup at home so I would like to be able to get on it sometimes without tying up the phone line so this would be perfect...

Try Mobile Phone Tools or, BVRP Connection Manager. Make a conexion (gprs...) is easy...

Posted by: buckguin

Yeah, figured it out.. It was really easy but slower then dialup...

ey how did u do that? does it notwork on cricket phones

Posted by: buckguin

Just plug the phone in, goto your internet options where it asks what type of modem you have, pick your phone which should be in the drop down menu if you have the drivers installed and then connect like normal...

Posted by: sinoloco69in

yea i did all that but i guess it doesnt work on cricket phones yet only on the razr

Posted by: lilhugh01

do yu have to have your memory card in to get your comp to recognize your phone

Posted by: lilhugh01

and also after you download drivers what are you supposed to do. when the phone is recognized by your comp does the pst automatically recognize it as well
