L7 and p2k connecting issues

I saw that you could connected your L7 to your p2k tools and any other program. However, I cannot. I've tried everything, I've reinstalled moto phone tools, tried different p2k programs, but still my phone will never be read as "connected". When i install moto phone tools and discnonect and reconnect my l7 it works fine and I can continue to reconnect it, but whenever i launch p2kman, motomidman, or any other program that connects to my l7 it says disconnected, and then windows reads the L7 as new hardware and I must reconfigure moto phone tools all over again. I've tried using the p2k.sys drivers and still nothing happens, as windows will not read that there are phone drivers in the p2k.sys file. Please help if you can, thanks

Thanks a bunch...

Here's another general question:

What are the most-useful, recommended mods to be made? I do enjoy iTunes, but the browser sucks (thank god for Opera Mini) & I'd like to have other things work (ie. light sensor, auto keypad lock, etc.)

Thanks agan (from a newbie)

I have the same problem on my VodafoneUK SLVR L7, connecting to Windows XP SP2 (English).

1. MPT4.04 (once updated countless times from 3.x) works like a charm with USB.
2. MPT4.04 won't work with Bluetooth (it authorises, but Comm failed)
3. Neither P2K nor P2AE works, even after installing the MOT2000+the other drivers.
4. If I load MPT4.04 again after trying to install drivers, I have to re-configure MPT again...

all software cannot connect to l7
motomidman, ps2tools, motorola pst, only the motorola phone tools 4.00 comes with the phone can connect...
Looks like L7 using different modem... cause old drivers cannot use with it...
maybe some L7 version modem is not same .. so they can connect easily....
Sigh forget about 1st =X
