hey,
I was just wondering, out of these choices which one would you choose. keep in mind I do intend on doing some "Modding" Nothing like an Engine swap or anything, well maybe if I get a 240.
-E36 BMW- high Mialage(around 220,000)-How much would an Engine rebuild cost?
-CB7 4th Generatoin honda Accord- I can look at some ranging in milage
-S13 Nissan 240sx HAtchback- Comes with engine rebuild and needs some body work, Which I can do Prep work myself.

IF there are anymore suggestions please recommend.
thanks

I think it has a lot to do with personal opinion. You also didn't say how much each was so I can only assume they are pretty close. Of course out of those, I'd want the BMW. I'm not really sure on the models, but an E36 is an M3 isn't it? That would be my choice because it's already got the beefier suspension so depending on how much modding you want to do, you might not have to do much with suspension. If you got the Accord you'd have that much more to spend to get the car to handle like the BMW does stock. Also, depending on the cost of a rebuild, the BMW would be far ahead of the other two in terms of performance.

oh, soryr the BMW is a 318is

I think you can buy a used engine for that BMW for about $3,000. Not sure about rebuild though.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the BMW, THe stock suspensions seems low and stif enough for me. I'm not really a speed guy just want something that will differentiate me from the rest of the cloud, Maybe Eyelids and a muffler will put me through. I hear repairs are expensive, but I guess the dealer warranty will take care of that for a while...

repairs are expensive....but can be few and far between. I know several people with mid 90s BMW's here, al around 200,000 miles, and all are fine.......

I've added an E34 to the mix, 4 doors Manual 525.

For your first car? Like the Jeenyus, I would go with the extremely high mileage European coupe that is in need of an engine rebuild. Seems like the obvious choice.
