new blackberry user with a question

hey guys, im getting a 7100t tomorrow, and i had a question....as of right now, i dont have a data plan. Currently i have a montly plan with Rogers (voice only), and my mom got a $50 Fido pay-as-you-go card from work. Now if I buy a Fido sim card, is it possible to use that pay-go card for GPRS until it runs out of funds? just to download some wallpapers and games until i get a data plan. would it work on a blackberry?

A standard data plan normally does not work with the bb. You have to subscribe to a bb specific plan in order to use those features.

Without a data plan, you will not be able to download anything.
