I have a quick question... i did a quick search and i didnt find my answer...so im hoping one of you could help me out!
I was just wondering, if you have a locked phone (v3 razr to be specific), can you flash/flex it to an unlocked s/w flash/flex, and then it would be unlocked? or would you have to unlock the phone first before you flash/flex?

You can flash it with an unlocked flash/flex but it will not unlock it. The thing about V3's being locked/unlocked is that it is locked by 2 seems (i don't remember which ones) that can be read but not edited or written over when the phone is locked to a carrier, but when it is unlocked it CAN be locked very easily, so if you have a locked v3, no matter what you flash it to, it will remain locked unless you pay to get it unlocked. If you have or get an unlocked V3, be VERY careful when flexing because you CAN lock it to a carrier.

thanks alot for the info ... its cuz im lookin to buy a V3 (just until the N80 comes out

so im lookin at buying a used one instead of payin full price for a brand new one. just needed to know before i go buy. thanks Paine
