i've heard ruhmors that sam is gone from my market, and that it wont come back till they revise it due to employee loss. im from the california market, any other markets have something similar? or same market knows? from what i've heard all we have to hit is our phone quoto and we're cool-

We still have it... but they greatly reduced the amount of time that you remain on it for a single incident.

LOL they finally realized that they've shot themselves in the foot with that stupid program.

Ok. So it's official now:

The CWA is literally useless in COR.

Hahaha...

What exactly is S.A.M? And how does it affect the employee that is on it? This was never mentioned to me when I was hired.

its nice because i get off sam by the march 1st.

i was on 2nd level

S.A.M = sales attainment manager or whatever.... to us COR. employees it means if u dont meet ur numbers (and when i mean numbers, u agent locations have a huge break to what we have to meet), go to monster.com and start looking for a new job. I know that here in the california market they are doing a lot of reconstruction and one of the key issues is keeping cingular employees and not losing them as fast as we do with s.a.m.. i've never been written up for s.a.m but february being only 28 days and 2304823094823094230483209482930 vip letters for upgrades, does not mean that i am going to have a good month for all my attainment numbers. (features, accessories, mrc,) hope you all enjoy this 28 day month, i know im not

In my store one of the top sales reps is ( probably ) going to go to Summit and guess what he had a bad feature month before Xmas - SAM 1 and then had a bad Sub month before that = SAM 2 . His revenue for the year is outstanding but those two areas / months hurt him badly . His revenue is still way up there but I wonder if he will still be eligible for Summit ?? Plus he is trying to be a manager in the company .

Wonderful. I was told my goal in activations for this month is 50. 2 weeks of this month I will be in training. Last month our entire store did around 80 acts. Something tells me im screwed.

its amazing just how different one region is from the next. they need to fix this.

Posted by: edmund

We still have S.A.M...but they lowered the numbers it takes not to be on it. They raised the overall new accts number, but lowered features in my market. (which is 35...aka NC/SC)

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

the issue they seme to have fixed is quota per store was different.

they expected me to do 50 per rep last month when all we did was 60 for the entire store!

Anyone heard anything else about SAM possibly going away?

Posted by: blessd24

They are replacing it with something....im not for sure what exactly.

Posted by: blessd24

My area manager just told us about the new program in our region. Basically they renamed the program and made it a little easier to be safe.

in my market sams gone and so is quota attainment for activations... now its all based on total ops - so upgrades are officially now welcomed

Typical Crapular !
these fools that run it have no idea what goes on on the sales floor . One month we can give credits next month we can't ,one month waive something next month cant waive it , one month quota is this next month they have brand new quota , one month we paid on relos next month we dont ,one month cing reward points next month no contest ( I guess they care about sales that month ? ) , one month match best buy next no match best buy , one month cust can do this in a store next month they cant ,
one month SAM next month no SAM , I could go on and on .
No wonder we have the highest staff and customer churn rates !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People in west central florida are leaving in droves - Why becuase it is such a great job dealing with angry frustrated customers all day and cretin company called SAMgular .
