Can anyone give me instructions on how to flash a 5600? Its having all sorts of issues, and would probably benefit from a flash. Is there any updates available to this phone? It is still the same version from out of the box, that it was 2 years ago or so. Thanks for the help.

Hello NokiaExperience, yesterday I installed Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphone on my 5600. I used Windows.Mobile.5.ROM.Pack.For.HTC.Typhoon.C500.SMT 5600. I followed the instructions at http://abronow.home.comcast.net/200...x-smt-5600.html (which points you to a couple of pages with step by step instructions). I'm not quite sure if this is what you were talking about or not, I'm pretty new to this stuff...

Panic, since you flashed your 5600 to WM5 a few months back, what are your thoughts? do you like it, was it worth it? I have seen some do it, some go back, some stay. I haven't really seen anyone really explain whether it was worth it, or not, or what?

Ricoks, yeah I'm still using WM5 and I really like it. The only problem it has is the video recorder no longer works, photos still do work though. One problem I had, several months ago I turned it off and back on and it wouldn't work at all, it's like it somehow corrupted itself. Fortunately I was easily able to format it again and when I synced it, it got all my contacts back. It ended up being about a 5 - 10 minute process to fix. Since then it's been running strong and without problems though.

hmmm - no video, i was thinking of trying out a new program that allows you to use it as a web-camera - hmmmm?!

so is this an upgrade you suggest/promote for others to do?
was it easy enough do you think, or will it require a good sense of understanding.
