I can't seem to get my new V3c to work correctly with my palm.

They bond but when I try to test/dial or SMS i get this error

"The phone was unable to handle your request. Please make sure you are using the right driver for your phone ".

Anyone have ideas

Thanks

I'm having the exact same problem with my Tungsten T5. Earlier thread yielded zero results. It did work flawlessly with my buddy's Razr v3. Maybe it's a driver issue? Can anyone enlighten us here?

BTW, what service provider are you with? I'm with Bell Mobility.

I'm also with Bell Mobility, I have managed to get the Palm to dial a contact, but it won't send a message

How did you manage to get the Palm to dial a contact? For me, that's the most important function.

Go to Palm's Web site install the Phone Updater Download, follow the directions:

Soft reset the PALM

FYI : I am running a Palm Lifedrive and a V3C

On the PALM

PREF
PHONE
EDIT CONNECTIONS
MODEL
changed to Standard GSM
select details
Speed 19200
CHANGE Init String to +Mode=2

Make sure you have bonded the phone to the palm.

Then go to contacts on your PALM, select the phone number tap and watch.

I really want to be able to message via the palm to the phone, but am looking at that one now. If anyone can help with that part please pass on the info - Thanks

I have only had one error, I was testing and tried dialing calls to close together.

Other than that good so far.

I'm running a V3c on vzw with a T5...this solution gets the dialer working if I manually enter numbers, but doesnt seem to have the 'tap and dial' feature working from contacts ...grrrr...

That's odd. I'm using a T5 and the tap and dial works great!
