With great sadness I say that Cingular isn't going to carry these two great phones! Hopefully they will revise them and release them at a later date!

Cingular wants devices that can support UMTS 850MHz. If a device has UMTS for 2100 and 1900 MHz, but no 850 MHz, count on Cingular discarding it.

read the post he linked to. it states that they sent it back so they can change it. we may see either device, but it would have to be tweaked before we get it.

We already knew the N80 was coming to Cingular, now our buds over at the FCC have slapped up some shots of a Cingular branded 6282. We pretty much figured, but it's nice to get a bit of back-door confirmation of this dual-mode GSM/UMTS multimedia slider all the same.

Which means, that Cingular won't get it as it is now, and probably an N80b and 6282b are what the doctor is prescribing.
