Razr v3c & Palm PDA

Has anyone successfully paired a Razr v3c to a Palm handheld and used the Dialer program via Bluetooth?

I have successfully paired the phone but can't use the Dialer program.

Worked great with a friend's v3 but will not work with the v3c. Is it maybe a driver issue?

Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. I have the razor v3c (Verizon) and a Tungsten E2. The two devices recognize each other but when they connect the connection is immediately terminated and an error message pops up on my palm, "your phone couldn't handle this request, Please make sure you are using the right driver."
I called motorola and they said there was nothing they could do. (I had a hard time understanding the customer service rep.) Can anyone help us?

Keep in mind.. your friend's V3 was GSM, and your V3C is CDMA...

they do use different command strings and such...

there have been many discussion of this topic over in the Verizon/Moto section...

Dialing contacts via Bluetooth from a PDA is one thing that doesn't work with the CDMA phones

It was discovered with the V710, and carries over to the E815, V3C, and V3M...

I don't know about Verizon phones, but I have got this working with an Alltel V3c, using a Palm T|X:

The 'trick' is to edit the connection used for the Phone on the PDA. Under the Model drop-down, select "Standard GSM', click on Details, and for the Initialization String, put only the following:

+Mode=2

If you test it, the T|X will connect and then show an error message, along the lines of this not being the right phone or something like that, but ignore that. I can now use the manual Dialer, as well as the Contact List, to successfully dial and connect calls through my Razr.

That said, I find this less useful than I had initially hoped. What I was hoping to do is use my TX to find a contact, have it dial through the V3c in my pocket, and then pick it up with my BT Headset. I haven't managed to figure out how to have the Headset pickup after the call has been successfully placed.

What turns out to be more practical is that I can look up a phone number on my T|X, then tap my BT Headset (H700), and Voice Dial the number by just reading of off the T|X display. Not quite as "high-tech" but it gets the job done ver efficiently.

You can read a little more about this on a Brighthand thread I started (which also has a post from someone reporting success with their E815):

there was a thread in the Verizon/moto section about that also for PALM... it wasn't working consistently... maybe because some could not find where to put in the +Mode=2...

I know PocketPC users NEVER found anything...
