Yes, people have it working but you will incur data charges at some point. Some people are not right now, but Cingular is going to offer plans in the future. Maybe Q1.

As I've mentioned in other threads, be careful with your data usage on Rogers. There is a 25MB cap, after which overage becomes quite expensive. You can quickly and easily exceed this cap even with moderate data use on the 8700 itself.

On a conference call with Cingular and RIM now and plans offering data for this will be out in March.
