Best SD card for Treo650?

What is the best SD card to get for my treo 650? What's the max size i can get?

Posted by: kc5hwb

I got a 2GB on Newegg.com for $99 about a month ago. It was the largest one I could find and that was the best price. My local Sams has 1GB cards for $73 and their prices are generally real good, so when I found a 2GB for only $25 more, I got it. This one is a Ridata card, but as long as you stick to the known brands, you should be OK.

I just bought a PQI 2GIG for 87 dollars shipped.

I CANNOT WAIT TO GET IT.

I thought 1 GIG would be enough, BUT I WANT MORE

i got two 1 gig sd cards.. one lexor and one scandisk.. and they seem fine...

I use to have a 512mb scandisk which worked fine. Now I have a lexar platinum 1 gig card which is faster. But I think any card will do, I mean there isn't a really big difference in the brands.

I'm using a 512 scandisk that I've had for years now. I've used it in my Tungsten E, my digital camera, and now it's in my Treo. I put a 1gig in my camera. I can't see me filling up a 2gig SD card on my treo. I have a 20gig mp3 player so there's nothing left to put on the card that could take up that much space.

I have a 1GB SANDISK...It's pretty good and i only have it half full...

I have a really neat 1GB Sandisk Ultra II I got from CompUSA, it has a USB port so I don't need a card reader

I'm thinking about getting a 2GB one soon though...

2GB Sandisk Ultra II.
Great card, you can get it for $100 shipped on EBay.

I have the whole Firefly series on the card, a good amount of NES Roms, a few 60m trance MP3 mixes, and a few applications and I
still have 1GB left

i got the 1gb sandisk for $50, and i think the max you can use is a 2gb(i think thats the most they make) but ya it runs fine with mine...i put wedding crashers on there and it worked fine all the way through

Well, lets not get too excited with cheap "sandisks" on Ebay...

To the guy that questioned my Ebay Purchase:

I verified that I have an authentic SD Ultra II 2GB Card.

For those who wish to purchase one for $100 shipped the sellers
EBay nick is: fastmemoryman

To the guy asking about the ROMS:

What exactly did you want to know?
They are NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) ROMS
(.nes files) that work with Nintendo Emulators.

If you are interested in an emulator I would recomend
NesEM. It costs $$ but its definately worth every penny
as it doesnt freeze your device and works great (unlike just
about every other NES EMU out there and Ive tried them all)
It can be found here: http://www.kalemsoft.com/nesem.html

If you purchase it and would like a few roms I would be happy to share
them with you, just email tgwaste@twg.org.

*cheers*

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.0) 16;320x320)

has anyone noticed that getting a MMC card is more effective than getting an actual SD card? I have a 1GB sandisk extreme III SD card and a 1GB Ridata Pro card... deleting files using a card reader or even with the treo is better with the Ridata... the Extreme III Sandisk one works well with opening pictures... basically that's it... you can get up to 2GB for the memory cards

newegg.com has the A-Data 150x 4G sd cards for less than $200... Create/load a custom ROM with FAT32 and you're <tacobell>good to go</tacobell>

Posted by: tgwaste

the newegg URL would have helped as well

Posted by: bananachunks

oh, sorry: newegg.com

Posted by: tgwaste

obviously.. I was talking about a direct link to the card your refering to.

Posted by: bananachunks

I figured giving the full description of the card on newegg would have made it an easy find. I only provided the link to the FAT32 thread because I already had it open.
