For my LG VX9800, when I put the USB cable into the phone and activate Bitpim on my computer, will I be able to put music onto the miniSD via the USB into the phone? Or would I have to use a card reader to do that?

My phone is in the mail and I am currently bidding on a USB cable on eBay, so my knowledge is slim and the only interaction I've had with this phone is in the VZW store.

I bought the mini-sd card online (ebay) same place I bought my $7 usb cable. I use the adapter to the mini sd card to make it a full size SD CARD in my laptops built in card reader and from there I drop what I need and where i need it. I use the card reader for obvious FASTER reasons lol I have movies, music videos and lots of MP3's. I make my own wall papers, and etc. All thanx to this sites tutorials!

Yes, you can use Bitpim & a USB data cable to put mp3s on the miniSD card, but it will be slow...

Buy a $5 (or so) USB miniSD/SD card reader. It'll be A LOT faster!
