Two things I don't like about it:

1) No "compose" icon, so you can't compose an e-mail from the home screen by pressing "c".

2) Dial by name in the phone application is not automatic like it was on 4.0. You have to select dial by name from the menu.

There is a C press program that you can find on my Must Have Apps page and the thread where it is discussed.

There is always speed dial for the most often called numbers.

If you hold down the phone button for a few seconds does dial by name come up?
