I just got my i870, and i was messing around with it, i thought i could take pictures and then set them for when ppl call me. i read the manual and i never could find anything about that. The only thing i can figure out is that my Sim Card needs to be updated, its from the old black and yellow work phone, nextel had about 2 years back i guess. I never got a new. Would that be the reason i cant do that, or does the phone just not have that option?

well, you need to get the sim that belongs to the phone. the older series phones don't support that feature and therefore, the phone will not use it.. just like the directTalk, if the sim doesn't support it, it's not gonna be available.. so just use the 128k sim that comes with it and you'll be good..the one from the 530 (which is the black and yellow phone you're referring to i assume) is a 64k sim and so it won't do what you want it to do. use the sims the phone comes with if you want to use the phone to it's full extent.

Yea thats what i figured. Do i need to go the my CS to get the newer version of the card or can i go thru the local store to get one?

well, NRS, as well as CS, prolly won't give you a SIM cause us at NRS don't even carry them. you might want to try an authorized dealer to see if they have them.. just tell them you need a 128k SIM and you'll be good if they have it.. if not, you'll have to see where you got the phone from. ALL nextel phones from us come with the SIM in it.. unless you got it at an authorized dealer (who coincidentally might have extra SIM's haha), then i can't make that guarantee.. :P so yeah, just check your phone box, and where you got it from..
