Anyone using 802 w/ Euro f/w?

I was reading on a site that the 802 with Euro f/w isn't able to access WAP?!?! Can anyone disprove or confirm that stmt. Also this is probably a hard one to answer, but has anyone ever brought their Euro f/w w/ J-pack phone to Japan and tried accessing the i-net and seeing whether a Japanese website works?
