Ringtone help

my phone will not allow me to put any of my songs as ring tones, it says "Canot assign due to illegal file"
can anybody tell me how to bypass that and get it as a ring tone.

First off, need to know what kind of firmware you're using. Euro, TW, Hong Kong, or JP?

mine too.. mine is the HK SX833 firmware
