can the sharp 902 take 2GB sandisk cards? anyone tried it?

Posted by: UncleAllEvil

Yes, 2GB SanDisk card should work OK.

`should` work ok.

i was thinking `should` when I paid $135 for a TEC 2gb card for my 903.......and it didnt work.

we need someone who is actually using a 2gig card to confirm definitely `yes` or `no`, and which brand they are using.

sandisk 1gb will definitely work on the 902sh.

2 gbs works but it slows down the UI way too much ....1gb is perfect

1gb works perfect for me

We`re talking about SanDisk, not TEC or any other company. I`ve made same mistake by wasting my money on Dane Elec 1GB card. SanDisk 2GB card is working, but like wikka said, it slows down phone a bit. Now I have 1GB SanDisk Ultra II which is perfect.

I think you better read my post again.

I know we`re talking about SanDisk. What Im saying is, we need confirmation from someone who`s actually using a 2Gig Sandisk card, that it `definitely` works, not that it `should` work. Pretty straightforward question I would have thought. If someone can also confirm another brand of 2gb card that definitely works then wouldnt that be useful information?

I have to buy another card because I thought the TEC card `should` have worked, but it didnt. Thats why I mentioned TEC. Like anyone else, now i need to know for sure if the 2gb Sandisk card (or any other brand) actually works, not that it `should` work. If i can save someone from going through the same waste of money that i did, then Im sure theyll appreciate it.

By the way, talking about relevance of posts, this thread is about 2gig cards. 1Gig cards have been used successfully in the 903 for ages.

If you need proof, there is a thread on mobile-review forum about SD cards for 902 where few people confirmed that SanDisk 2GB card is working fine.
I wrote about Dane Elec card, because for me it`s same situation like with TEC, NOT SanDisk and also NOT working. Many people had problems with different manufacturers, only SanDisk is 100% reliable.

By the way, this thread is about 2GB cards for 902, not 903

Buy the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB from Costco and if it doesn't work then return it and say it didn't work.

ok, I've tried a Sandisk 2GB ultra in my sharp 902, and althought i didn't go through everything, the Camera did save to the card, and pictures were viewable, Ringtones worked.

I had no problems.

I didn't keep it though, I dont' really need a 2GB card. Using my 1GB Sandisk at the moment.

good to know, but unfortunately, some 2gig cards allow you to do those things (ie. save and view pictures with card), but when you put the card in your reader (or pc), the folders on the card dont show up.

If you then try to put files onto the card from your pc (eg. pics, video, music), they dont show up on the phone when you put the card back in, and the card doesnt work at all after that.

when someone can confirm that the sandisk (or any other brand) can do the above things, then we`ll know if it works 100%.
